I currently use Comcast broadband cable for my Vonage connection. It works well, but want to consider switching to an AT&T DSL connection for cost saving reasons. What AT&T DSL performance rated package is needed to support Vonage? |

I am answering my own post. I checked the archives here. Someone posted that with AT&T DSL, that a down load rate of 1.5MB, and an up load rate of 512KB is needed to operate Vonage service. Once I learned that, I went to the AT&T website, only to learn that my neighborhood wiring is only good for for AT&T twisted pair telephone service, and is not capable of supporting DSL. So, I am stuck with expensive Comcast broadband. However, I will say that Comcast serves my Vonage connection very well. |
