Vonage sells Mexican phone numbers so I doubt it. |

since you connected, it means that your local ISP is not blocking port 80 connectivity to those specific web sites.
if you still get the access denied, then there is probably a proxy server between you and the Vonage sites, OR the Vonage sites themselves have an access list in the actual webserver software blocking certain address ranges. |

Where do you see that Vonage sells Mexican Phone numbers:
Per this press-release: http://www.vonage-forum.com/printout1193.html
And to quote: "in Mexico Voip is illegal, considered a bypass, which is why only virtual numbers are currently available"
Mexico numbers are provided for people in the US who have friends and family in Mexico. |

You can block ports just as easy as URL's. |

Very interesting articles. I can see why Latin america's richest man & owner of Telmex wouldn't want Voip to cut into his throat cutting. It would cost me us50˘/min to call my brother long distance (both in Mexico) with Telmex and only us8˘/min to call him with Vonage. Calling the US from here costs us about us80˘. |

I'm in Mexico, with a TelMex Prodigy ADSL connection and have had no problems with Vonage. Mac OS X. Linksys RT31P2, Speedstream modem. |
