Post subject: Problem with Error 003/004 with New Vonage router
Hi All,
I have purchased
Vonage
Voip
router.
I am facing the problem of setting up the phone.
Internet and Ethernet is connected but phone port is having some problem. I am getting error 004/003.
I have tried to set router as per the manual but still the problem is there.
Anybody has any idea to sort out this problem.
I have seen one post in this forum for Error 003/004 but that is not helpful in my case.

Did you buy it from a retail store? When you signed up for a
Vonage
account, did you choose to do a retail activation where you enter the MAC address of he device you purchased so hat it is added to your account or did you sign up directly where you don't enter a MAC and
Vonage
sends you a device?
The reason I ask is because if you bought it at a store and did not sign up through the retail subscribe where you can activate this device to your account, the MAC is not active so it will not get a profile therefore you are stuck with that error. In this case you would have to contact
Vonage
to have it added to your account.

I'm having a similar problem. I'm using a D-link DI-614+.
Bridge->Router->Vonage - can't get past "Retrieving Profile"
Bridge->Vonage->Router - one unit works for a few mins, then I get altrernating errors 003 and 004. A second unit shipped to me - no Internet connectivity from router or any connected PCs.
