ATT offers several "dry loop" service options. Do I need a certain up/down speed to work properly?
I am thinking of going with the most basic speed package that they offer - 768 down and 384 up

As long as that is the guaranteed speed and is does not go much lower than that you should be ok. If you can, go one step up that would be better. Through your online account you may need to change you bandwidth saver to normal to leave open enough bandwidth for other things you do on the internet.

Do yourself a huge favor. Get a DSL connection of at least 1.5 MBPS down and 512KBPS up. If you read the disclosure on the DSL forms carefully, you will see "Speed and service is not gaurantted to be continuous" - Alot of people leave
Vonage
because of this, and it's not thier fault. With any DSL connection, if you have problems, request a Transfer to Adv Tech Support in Holmdel, do NOT accept techs from India or
Manila
- They will screw up your service more. It's worth the wait in hold times and also they can get to your ISP - Inida and
Manila
can't!
