Hello,
I'm looking for recommendations on how to best configure a Linksys RVN4000 VPN router with two Vonage v-portals (I have 3 phone lines) for my small business office. Prior to my move to Vonage, my setup was cable modem -> VPN router -> LAN. I could connect to the VPN router remotely to access my office LAN. Now my setup is cable modem -> v-portal (192.168.15.1) -> v-portal (192.168.16.1) -> LAN. I'd like to add my VPN router back in the mix so I can connect to my office from home.
Thanks for your assistance! |

Why don't you just connect both v-portal's to the ethernet ports on the VPN router? |

That's an option, but I'm not sure about the VPN router settings. Should it work if I put one of the v-portals in the DMZ and use port forwarding for the other v-portal? |

You shouldn't have to use the DMZ or port-forwarding. Both devices will register with the Vonage server every 20 seconds or so, thus keeping the server aware of their public IP address and keeping your router's NAT-holes open.
I currently operate several Vonage devices behind a router with mostly factory-default settings, and they all get along just fine! |
