Post subject: Vonage line and home phone interference
I want to get an extra phone line, but I don't want to deal with my phone company. I would like to have
vonage
as an extra line. I have heard from friends that if I have
vonage
and a normal phone line, that they will both get very bad sound quality, and will interfere with each other. Is this true? Thank you.

not really. all you need is a good technician to properly wire everything.
make sure that your homewiring is also capable of supporting 2 lines. well, most if not all modern homewirings can do that

Take a look over in the hard-wiring section of the forum. It has some good talk about splitting the wiring between your primary POTS line and your
Vonage
line. Shouldn't cause static if it is done correctly.
