OK...this is a feature that I (and I am sure, countless others) could use! Why, if I have my voicemail forwarded to my email with WAV attachments, should I ALSO have to call in or log in to delete these voicemails from my account?!?! C'mon , Vonage! Use yer noggin'!
This should, at the very LEAST, be a simple checkbox option for ALL voicemail forwarding. Once it's forwarded, delete it - AUTOMATICALLY!
This is a giant pet peeve of mine. I get the voicemail on my work PC, on my laptop, and on my mobile email account (gotta love PDAs)...then I get home and have to call in or log in to delete the messages that I heard 8 hours prior...can you say ANNOYING?! |

While I can see the benefit of this feature, why not just delete them from your PC by logging into your account? |

Did you read the entire post? Why should I have to if voicemails are in my inbox as it is? |

He does have a point! Although, why just not just delete it but if only get these annoying 2 to 3 seconds hangups out as well would be nice. If there was a rule to automatically delete them from the box would be nice. If you delete them from the inbox from the email and it would take them out then it would solve our problem for all of us. All we would have to do is make our own rule is to delete any anything from you guys with attachments with less then amount thats well less then 3 secs of kilobytes. :p Problem solved no more going through 30 message and only have 4 to call. Specailly since some of us have 2 Numbers 1 Real and 1 Virtual from another source like another state like living in another place at the same time and having more then one person call up asking for sugar and tea LOL Good lord someone tell that Lady She gonna have to drive 750 Miles to get it HA !! HA !! |

Hi All,
I am not new to Vonage, but new to the forum.
So what better to welcome myself with a personal pet peeve!
I use several Vonage Accounts as inbound voice mail systems atop of the outbound calling of my team at work.
I must get 35 answerphone messages a day if not more, in fact they are 90% of the time full.
So that I can deal with every response, I have all the voice mails e-mailed to myself. I require the voicemail to be free to pick up more missed calls, but I cannot delete them fast enough.
Having all the voicemails e-mailed, you would have thought that they would auto delete, to make life just that little bit easier!
So I beg you, most users may not need this function, but for the super users who use the phones for 6 hours a day, everyday and get a load of voicemail. I would love it if you could add this feature!
Massive time saver and well.... as Draxima said, pure common sense! |

I agree this would be a great feature. Bell Canada actually provides this with their online voicemail, and I never realized how handy it was until I got used to it before switching back to Vonage.
I receive and listen to all of my voicemail messages through my e-mail box, but still have to log on to the web site and delete them all every few days just to turn off the stupid flashing light on phone. Seems kind of redundant.
I suppose the downside could be that if you had problems receiving e-mail it might result in missing voicemail messages, but it wouldn't be unreasonable for Vonage to just put a disclaimer in place before allowing users to enable this feature, warning them that this could be an issue. |
