I have been with Vonage for almost 3 years. Will be 3 years in June. Every single day I have been completely satisfied with the service. I have even recommended it to several friends.
However, due to financial reasons, I must cancel my service. Things are getting tough for all of us.
The question I have is as follows: I have tried to cancel my account for 3-4 months in a row. They changed my plan to the StepUp plan. I was ok with that because at that time I still used my Vonage line. A month later, I called to cancel again. This time they changed me to the $9.99 plan with 100 minutes. I was ok with this as well. The following month, noticing I used only 20 minutes, I tried to cancel again. This time, they gave me a month free and hung up on me before I could agree or disagree. I thought about that for about 20 minutes and decided not worth the effort to call back.
Finally, I called yesterday to cancel. Again, the girl gave me a free month.
I do not mind the free months, however, I do not need the service. From March 25-Present, I have only used 1 minute out of the 100 minutes provided.
Again, I am completely satisfied with Vonage and their service. But I need to cancel because of financial reasons and my cell is my dominant means of communication. How do I cancel Vonage? I plan to call them back the Monday before May 24.
