We have verizon dsl and use a zoom modem. We had issues with the internet and verizon says they fixed it. Ever since they reset the lines, the internet works fine, but as soon as we get a call or we try to dial out, the internet cuts off. we have the firewall disabled and everything is set up like we always had it. I don't understand why it suddenly doesn't work anymore. Any ideas? |

Does the issue go away when you end the phone call? |

Is it only the wireless connection that goes out? |

I use DSL as well and am having the same issue. Whenever I'm using my Vonage phone, the internet goes out and when I hang up, it comes back. What is the fix? |

If your phone is cordless and it operates on 2.4 frequency it is interfering with the internet connection. Change your phone to a old fashion corded one or get a DECT 6 cordless that operates on the 1.8 frequency that won't interfere with anything. |

I'll try getting that type of cordless considering I need a new set anyway. A corded phone is not an option for me as the wireless modem & Vonage box are in the basement where no one spends any time.
Thanks! |

It might be an advantage to look for one that blocks calls.
Search on eBay for call block in the dect 6 category to get an idea what is available.
I have a Panasonic KX-TG9341 that blocks 20 numbers. |

I just added that info... If you are going to buy a new phone you might like that extra feature... |
