If you trace the phone cable that connects to the Vonage adapter to the other side, what does it connect to? Does it go from the Vonage adapter directly to a telephone or does it go to a standalone caller ID box, a splitter, a phone jack in the wall, or something else?
Does the phone your using have it's own Caller ID display? If so, make sure your phone is directly connected to the Vonage adapter if it is not currently connected this way and retest Caller ID. |

The phone I am using is Panasonic KX-TG5632 and it is connected to a splitter inserted into Vonage adapter. The splitter is is shared by the phone and the fax machine line. |

In addition to what VonTechMgr suggested, what happens to the call waiting caller? Do they hear ringing, go to voicemail, get hung up on? Same with the call you're already on--does that call get disconnected? |

Have you removed the splitter from the Vonage adapter and plugged the phone in directly? What are the results?
Also when the splitter is plugged in and you have both the fax machine and the phone connected, when a call comes in, check the LCD on the fax machine. Does it show the incoming cal along with the Caller ID? |
