I just started having issues w/Vonage (been a subscriber for a few years now) and was checking their support page and it says to have the Vonage device connected directly to the cable modem. I have it where the cable modem connects directly to my Linksys WRT54GS and then I connect from a lan to another lan port of the Linksys RTP300. Is that not correct? I have always run it this way. My recent issues is one way audio. Comcast has been bugging me for awhile now to switch over so its seem a bit of a coincidence that it started acting up. Also is the Vonage adapter outdated?

If you do a search for "Comcast", you will see many complaints from Comcast users. They are doing something to cause Vonage to have problems. I guess they are hoping for customers to change to their phone service.

ya I did see that in this forum as well....trying to see if my setup is correct....I also have the 192.168.15 subnet for my WL Router and for the Phone adapter. I saw in another thread that they should be on different subnets...

Your setup is fine. You can have the RTP300 hang off of the Linksys WRT with no issues (LAN from WRT to WAN/Internet of RTP300). Many people have this setup as the RTP300 is not the greatest router but is fine as just a telephony adapter.

Can you follow the instructions in the sticky and post the results? Also, if you leave everything out of your network and have the RTP300 plugged directly into the modem, how is the audio?

But thats not how i have it setup...my Router lan connects to the RTP lan...if I connect it to the RTP WAN, I get the "this Vonage device is not connected"....its only whens it lan to lan that it works...what about the Subnet question? Both are on the same subnet...
I will post the sticky once I have the network setup fine....

i'm not sure how this has worked for you.

But the correct setup would be:

Modem (LAN) > (WAN) Linksys WRT (LAN) > (WAN) RTP300 (LAN) < PCs, etc

Your WRT Linksys router should have a 192.168.1.x subnet by default unless you have changed it and the Vonage RTP should have a default subnet of 192.168.15.x.

I would suggest you start from scratch and factory reset both WRT and RTP300 routers and connect them as above
