I received tha ATA and plugged things in. It reports the internal IP assigned by my router and gives dial tone but will not make calls.
I spoke with Level 1 help and they said someone would call back within 24 hours. I think thats not nice so I am asking here.
Is there anything I should be doing to begin service.
Thanks in advance, and yes, I have rebooted everything a dozen times and I get the IP when I press red button, dial 80#.

Possibly making progress. I called Level 1 again and this time got a more helpful person and finally did get a call back from Level 2.
They investigated and admitted something was missing on my account so the ATA couldn't download the image it needed to make calls.
Still not working at this moment but I actually ahve a real tech working on it. |

Remember Joe Mphlstk or whatever his name was in Li'l Abner? The little charector that always had a cloud over him raining on him? That's what I feel like sometimes.
But I learned a teeny bit about it all. Some Vonage information is flashed in the ATA firmware before shipping it to you. Then when you plug it in it has to go to the i'net and hit the first Vonage server which then assigns it an IP to go to another server and download an image with your account info it needs to make phone calls.
Something about my account was left out and it wasn't getting anything. They got it one step further burt still not getting to the second server. (See Joe above)
So twelve hours later and still no-go. |

It's working!!!!!!
If Vonage is monitoring these posts, then a big thank you to a tech named Will that located the issue hanging me up.
FYI anyone else; you need to have your router set with port 5061 routed to the ATA internal IP address.
Will says just about everybody else already has it but my Linksys BFSR-41 version 1.36 requirted it be set manually. |

Glad to hear you're all up and running donna.
Also glad to hear that the Vonage techs were able to help you.
They say that they have worked on their CS a lot lately, and that it has improved a lot lately - this proves it. |
