Post subject: 2 vonage lines no landline
I have two
Vonage
lines coming into the house with two different phones. Currently, both of them are connected directly to the router, but I wish to use the hard lines in the house.
I would like to plug either phone into a wall jack. The house appears to be wired for two lines (four connected wires in the wall jacks I have checked).
I looked over a couple of the other posts and cannot figure out if the L1/L2 adapter will work for me.
I was thinking of making a couple of crossover cables, one that uses L1 from the hard wiring and another that picks up L2 from the hard wiring.
If my thinking is right, I would need four crossover cables. One that ties L1 from the router to the wall and another from the wall to the phone itself. Then I would need another set for the L2 line.
Am I correct in my thinking or? Is there a much easier way that I am missing?
Any help would be appreciated.

If your house wiring is isolated then it really shouldn't be too difficult.
I'd try simpliest first.
L1/L2 splitters should work just fine for you. Use one at the wall plate where you are plugging in the adapters. Plug one adapter into each line and you should have wiring throughout the house. At any other wall plate, if you only want to use a single line phone just use another L1/L2 splitter and plug the phone into the appropriate side.
I'm a little uncertain about your crossover cables but at the heart of it I think you are just trying to make your own L1/L2 splitter. Basically on the RJ11 jacks in your house. The middle pair is L1. The outer pair is L2. A L1/L2 splitter just takes the outer pair and does cross it over to the common middle pair for single line operation.
