Best option will be to purchase a second router, put the Vonage adapter and any other PCs behind it. |

Then the problem isn't the Vonage adapter. |

What is your network set up like?
Did hosting your games work prior to placing your Vonage adapter into your network? If so, your current set up is probably as follows:
Modem - > Vonage adapter -> Your router -> PC
In this setup, you have to port forward fromthe Vonage router to your router to your PC.
This is not a Vonage issue. This is a simple network configuration issue.
To make things simple, make sure your set up is as it was before Vonage.
Modem -> Your router -> PC | -> Voage adpater
With the Vonage adapter connected to your router just like a PC, the Vonage adapter has nothing to do with your inability to host a game. You would then hav to figure out how to log into your own router and configure port forwarding for your specific make and model router.
www.portforward.com will be able to help you out based upon your model router.
Ports needed are :
Warcraft III: Allow port 6112 TCP out and allow established sessions in Allow port 6112 TCP in (hosting custom games) Allow port 6113-6119 TCP out and in (hosting custom games if you've changed the default port in the Options/Gameplay screen)
If you are still having problems after you open up the required ports, try opening 116(TCP) and 118(TCP). I don't really know if these ports are required or not. I have had people tell me that opening up those two ports have helped them connect to battle.net. |
