I would love a feature where I can block a phone number. I have a teenage daughter and I am assuming the calls are for her she as told them not to call anymore but this has not worked I would love to be able to just block the calls.
I would also like a feature where I can call someone anonymously I think it is called caller ID block I know I can do this by dialing *67 before every call but I would like the option where I don't have to do this every time like have the option to enable/disable through the Features. Thanks |

Please add this feature. We somehow got on a fax line data base and our phone number is our house number. We get calls at all hours. We just end up leaving the phone off the hook to stop the ringing.
Feature wish: Call block for numbers we update the list with. |

The great Orange Mother Ship needs to add these features caller I.D. on or off and capability of blocking a specific phone number. With their technology this should not be too difficut to come up with something and for those who desire these features, charge a modest fee to be able to do so. RB fuji |

I am a new Vonage customer and satisfied with everything except the **puzzling** lack of a selective call blocking feature. Even my ancient Sprint PCS phone had this in 1999. Looking back through the forums, customers have been requesting over and over and over for selective call blocking since as early as 2004. So we are going on 5 years now and still no possibility of this no-brainer of a feature??? |

Please add this feature now! It's basic! Tech support can do it upon request. How difficult would it be to put it on a web form?? How many calls would it eliminate to their Help Desk? Seems like this tiny software development project would pay for itself. |

Sinless1, have you actually had tech support set this up for you?
I was on Voice Pulse awhile back and they had amazing filters that would do the following based on the number:
Finally, select the action you want to take when the selected caller calls on the selected line. Choose from any of the following:
Always Forward This call will get forwarded to your call forwarding number. Use this so important calls always to go your cell phone while other calls continue to ring on your VoicePulse phone. Always Ring This call will always ring your phone. Use this in combination with Do Not Disturb to block all calls from work on your day off, but let your friends' calls still get through. Always Voicemail This call will always go straight to voicemail. Always Busy This caller will always hear a busy signal! Not In Service This caller will hear a message stating that your number is "no longer in service"!
I used the Not In Service option frequently on political calls and donation calls.
Vonage, if a smaller competitor like Voice Pulse can add this feature, why can't you? Do you want us all the have to change to Voice Pulse? |

Hello Friend ,
AS you think, that possible is too many people is think about your thinking way. when too many people apply this type terminology, at that time the system can't generate alll the system code for each every person at all time. So, you have no way to every time dial for any call at any time. I know it is difficult for you but it is necessary . Thanks and sorry. |

Umm, ok, sure, whatever!
Vonage not having this feature is pretty darn lame when other Voip providers include it. It's a major negative for me and I should not have to consider a $100 device like the Caller ID Manager to gain peace and quiet on my own telephone. |

I am/Was a new Vonage customer...I Am being Ported back to my old Teleblend Voip service as we speak
And it's because Vonage does not offer selective call block!
I am an IT technician, have been in communications since 1982. And have come up with some ideas as to why the big orange will not add this very BASIC feature....
1. Vonage now has the largest share of Voip customers, numbering in the millions.
2. Telemarketing is Very BIG Business....Pulls down MegaBucks...
3. Telemarketing pays Vonage NOT to add selective call blocking....
Now you KNOW why this feature is not added, and especially not added for FREE!!
Vonage would never be able to squeeze that kind of revenue out of it's customers.
That, my friends is the REAL No-Brainer answer |
