I read on the Alpha Vonage forum that Vonage Talk is no longer going to be working as of yesterday. Anyone know if this is true? My VT won't log on anymore, was working yesterday though. |

Not surprising really, is it? They aren't going to give you something for free anymore now that they are trying to sell the Vonage Pro crap! They are hoping they can get $10 a month for it now. I hope it backfires too. Although I didn't use it much, the VT was a nice included free feature. They are going to piss off the people who enjoyed using it for free and I don't see a lot of people signing up for the Vonage Pro. I'm sure the contact book and fax service will follow and eventually be a part of the Pro add on. Vonage seems more like a traditional phone company with every passing month. More fees, taxes and paying for features. If they survive long enough, I won't be surprised to see them roll out feature package addons and take away all the free features. |

Thankswhatumean for posting and letting me know, I will post on the other site that it is working.
We can't get the Vonage Pro here in Canada and the only good thing about that is the Vonage Companion, which eventually replace VT. I guess you can also block callers with Vonage Pro, which makes me wonder why can't we have selective call blocking with a regular account.
I like using VT when I travel, especially when there is no Vonage Access numbers for Europe. |

Already happening. I use Vonage Contact Center, (which is in aplha) and Vonage rolls out vonage Conatact Book, which is in Beta and stripped down version missing the conference calling
Fortunately Contact Center (alpha) is still there for the time being.
Oh well, one can kill a product to the point it is not worth having, we will see. |
