1) air noise
2) phone port and/or total router crash and reboot
3) cannot surf without issues and even worse when 2 pc's on network...using phone or not. Router is getting bogged down big time and must reboot to get going again at warp speed.
my ISP is fine and so is speed up and down.
So keep cranking out everyone replacements...bad business as far as I am concerned. It is bad firmware period...maybe somebody with a brain from some other country can be farmed in to help create firmware that will fix these issues. |

I have the WRT54GP2, and the first one gave me the air whoosh sound. After talking to Linksys I was told it was hardware not firmware. So I took a chance that I may find one that would work, if not I was going to get the VT1000 from Motorola. When I got it home I didn’t have time to play with it, but I did notice I had firmware 1.20. I left for about 2 hours, when I got home it upgraded itself to 1.25. I called Vonage and gave them my MAC and I was up and running with no background noise. So you can do like I did and roll the dice again or get the VT1000. |
