I have been through a lot since I spoke with you last. I have been working with VonTechMgr. But yes, I just checked my router and DHCP is enabled. VonTechMgr had me set it up with a static IP address and nothing we tried seems to work. He/She finally concurs with me that I have a faulty device. I get nothing but error codes 003 and 004 and it reboots itself all the time. I have been at this all day and right now I am not a big Vonage fan since I now have no phone to work with... ATT disconnected me per my request as of today! yikes! What a day spent... my dog is mad at me... no playing in the park today! |

My guess is that when you had the dsl modem connected to vportal,and when you had the vportal on dhcp, you said it went till registration and then got blocked. this mostly indicates firewall on att dsl modem, wats the make of the modem that you got? chek out www.portforward.com to disable firewall or set portforwarding. A simple call to tech support could resolve this issue. I strongly beleive its not the issue with Vonage device. |

Working with VonTechMgr on this site with PM's and posts, we both finally decided that the Vonage equipment is at fault. Unfortunately, putting trust in Vonage led me to disconnect my phone service with att on the day I received the equipment. Now I wish I had not been so trusting in the simplicity of its setup. I therefore, currently, have no phone contact with att to see if they can help with any of their settings. I will attempt an email to them later, but I do not think that is the issue. I have now spent way too much time on getting this service going. I have requested a replacement from Vonage, but they have not responded. Thanks again, however, for your input. Voner |
