I have a wireless Router in the house that the base unit and DSL line are connected to. It has about 4 or 5 empty ports in the back to connect internet cables to. The IP8100 has two ports in the back of it. Yellow and Blue. I'm hooking the blue cable into an empty port on the router, then i hook the yellow cord to another empty port on the router and no lights come on in the back of the phone base. My router is working fine because i can go all over the house with my wireless and the speed seems to be perfectly fine. So I don't know if my router doesn't recognize the base unit or vise versa. Will I need to go somewhere on the net to re-configure the phone?
Again thanks for the help.

The Yellow LAN port on the IP-8100 should not be connected to anything. It is only used if you are connecting a PC to it. This would be if you were using it as a router or if you need to log into it to configure.
In your current setup, only the Blue WAN port on the IP-8100 should be plugged into one of the available LAN ports on your router.
While having the cable improperly connected should not result in what you are seeing at the moment, I would make sure you connect the cable properly. Then power cycle the IP-8100. If you do not see any activity on the WAN port LED or the Ready LED, the base unit is most likely damaged and there is nothing you can do to fix it.

thanks a lot. I'll give that a try and if it does not work I'll just get a new base unit all together.
