Post subject: Vonage in Guatemala
I'm wondering if anyone has used
Vonage
in Guatemala? I saw a couple of posts from a few years ago with a comment about ISP's blocking
Vonage
(must be IP and port specific), but I was looking for some more up-to-date information. i.e. If I get another
Vonage
line and
Voip
router, if it will work in Guatemala. Thanks everyone!

haven't read much from Guatemala lately. not sure if you'll get a response. have you checked the country website? sometimes they tell you explicitly that
Voip
is illegal. if so, then buying
Vonage
will be of little help to you.

I spent some time in Antigua. I was using Telgua. They seemed to be blocking
Voip
ports. not sure if it was just the signaling port or the RTP ports as as well.
In any even, I had to VPN back to a network in the US and use the
Vonage
softphone.
