I have Had Vonage for a year now past 6moths the line will drop just about 30 seconds into a call or in the mode of a call,It also goes into one way mode where noone can hear me but i hear them.On top of it the entire network will drop out killing all access to the internet every 2-3-4 hours. All day long I traced the route while it was down 1 to google no problems,1 to Vonage and it stopped their (see below for the actual list)When i disconnect the Vonage device I have no loss of internet.the entire time its disconnected.

I am useing verizon DSl 3Kbs In vermont.

Your ping results are a bit off. The reason I say this is if you do an nslookup for www.vonage.com, you will get 2 IP's that host the web services. (216.115.22.200, 69.59.254.188) While 216.115.22.200 will respond to ICMP, 69.59.254.188 will not. This is due to each web server being hosted from a different Vonage data center and the edge router in the one location will not pass ICMP into the network. If you were to put http://69.59.254.188 into your web browser at the time you could not ping it, you would see the site would come up. 69.59.254.188 could not return an echo reply to your ping even when your connection was fine.

On the next note, www.vonage.com resolves to web servers. These servers are on completely different networks from the media relays which handle the RTP audio stream and the proxy servers that handle the SIP signaling.

So you will have to dig a little deeper if you want to find the point of failure.

Are the PC's connected behind the WRT54G or the VT22442?

Are you losing connectivity on PC's that are hardwired to the router or are they wireless clients?

Is your phone that is connected to the VT2442 operating on 2.4ghz frequency?

Is your Westell 2100 acting as a router or is it in Bridged mode?

All computers go down the main Hardline and of course the wireless ones cause their wireless and need the router.

yes they are 2.4Ghz
the modem has no bridge mode comes from the pole then to the router.
