I've been a Vonage customer for 4 years, mainly for the virtual phone number feature from Mexico City.
Vonage advertises 511 service in my home, Washington State.
When I call 511 from my Vonage phone, I get the wrong information line--I get the "WA State Ferries Info line" rather than the "WA State DOT 511 Info line".
When dialing 511 from my cell and work phones, I get the "WA State DOT 511 Info line".
I believe Vonage is forwarding my 511 call to the wrong number.
I called Vonage customer support, but they try to fix/reprogram my phone adapter.
Any ideas on how I might get this fixed?
I know 2 others in the area that have Vonage but get "service not available" when they dial 511 from their Vonage phone. Why is it different for them?
Just hoping someone out there has a bit more insight.
I can always call 1-800-695-8623, but it's easier to remember 511.
Thanks. |

Yes this can be verified and fixed by Vonage but this isn't something that is fixed by Customer Care. It needs to be escalated to Advanced Operations and then from there, it will need to be escalated to one of the engineering groups that does the provisioning for the x11 numbers based upon geocoding. |
