Hi, I live in California and I have the V-Portal. I also have a DSL modem from Verizon. I recently bought a laptop with a Linksys WRT300N Wireless-N BroadBand Router. I have tried setting up the router so I can establish a wireless home network so I can have internet access on my laptop. But I'm not having any luck.
My question is, how do I setup the router, the V-Portal, and the modem so I can go on the internet wirelessly using the router.
And here is some more basic information:
California Verizon DSL Modem: Westall Model 6100
Speed test statistics --------------------- Download speed: 738232 bps Upload speed: 135648 bps Quality of service: 99 % Download test type: socket Upload test type: socket Maximum download pause: 51 ms Average download pause: 16 ms Minimum round trip time to server: 88 ms Average round trip time to server: 91 ms
Voip test statistics -------------------- Jitter: you --> server: 2.6 ms Jitter: server --> you: 6.1 ms Packet loss: you --> server: 0.0 % Packet loss: server --> you: 0.0 % Packet discards: 0.0 % Packets out of order: 0.0 % Number of supported Voip lines: 2 Estimated MOS score: 4.0
The Setup is: Modem -> V-Portal -> PC |

try to hook up it without the Vonage adapter in the mix, once you can connect to the internet put the Vonage adapter in the equation.
Just a note, you bought a wireless N router, most laptops are not able to use the N, but only b&g setting, make sure your laptop can connect on the N and if not make sure you only have the router set for b&g. Don't forget to secure the router so no one else can use your internet connection. |

It doesn't say on the box or in the manual. I have a Toshiba Satelite L350 Series.
What is the Vonage Adapter you were talking about? |

"The "N" standard is still technically in draft form and final ratification of 802.11n by the IEEE isn't expected until this year, the Wi-Fi Alliance has been certifying draft-2.0 n routers for interoperability and compatibility since last year, and the final version should largely be a formality that at most may require a firmware upgrade.
Rest assured it is backword compatible with b and g.
Check your documentation to see if your wireless on your computer is "N" compatible. |

The v portal is the Vonage adapter.
Is there a sticker on your laptop most likely it isn't n ready so just have your router broadcast b/g |

I tried just about everything and nothing is working. Can someone post a step-by-step guide on how to set it up? |
