Can't get rebate on Wal*Mart Dlink

ConRad: I believe there is a difference between a Gift Card from Wallyworld and a Walmart Express Payback card (their internal rebating system I suppose). This is why I suspect you got no funds added to the GC. To add further confusion, I am sure the numbering system is the same for either. Thus, you'll have a few more hoops to jump.

Based on the process, I believe the electronics person should have given you the WEP Card when you checked out. Mine told me that I should follow the instructions and a card would be mailed to me within 2-4 weeks. I begrudgingly accepted this statement, since it made little sense to me, purchased my $100 three-handset & Router deal and went home to get it all ready. I should have activated it there - because I will be going back at some point in the next 12 hours to rattle a few people to get this processed properly. I'll let post the results.

The electronics people should HAND you a Walmart Express Payback card to use when you self-register. After a little rooting around and several missions back to the joint, I managed to get one in my hot little hands. It was populated with funds the next morning after registration with Vonage via IWANTSERVICES.com. If you use a Gift Card, it will not work.

BTW, not ONE person at WalMart knew ANYTHING about this process. I blame management.

I had the same problems, too! The electronics dept. at WalMart knew nothing about the Express Payback cards. The phone number didn't work. Customer Care said for me to set up an account with them and then call the rebate center at Young America. Their number is 1-800-347-4017. They are only open M-F 8am-8pm EST. So the first time I called the rebate center their computer was down. The second time I called, they told me to go the website and request rebate VON-0819. I said what website? Vonage or Walmart. They said Vonage. I can't find it on the website. Of course, it's the weekend so I can't call back. I'm getting really frustrated, too!
