Only suggestion I can make at this point is to download and install firefox which is much better the Internet Explorer and is a free web browser. Once installed, try to access the virtual server page from Firefox.
Yeah, a similar write-up buried in another thread helps fill in the knowledge gap: I think I have read on different threads over here the problem faced when you are trying to do port forwarding on DLink VWR device. Port Fwding is especially required if you using any torrent clients.
Solution is instead to click on 'Custom Port Forwarding' [http://192.168.15.1 (username n passwd both are 'user') > Advanced > Virtual Server (on left side frame)] and then putting in the following details: - Enable: Select it - Application: Name of application such as utorrent, etc - Protocol: TCP & UDP (for safety sake rather than just one of them) - Source IP Address: 0.0.0.0 - Source NetMask: 0.0.0.0 - Destination IP Address: Your laptop/desktop's static ip add - Destination Netmask: 255.255.255.255 - Destination Port Start: 80 - Destination Port End: 80 - Destination Port Map: 80
Also change the port on your application (such as utorrent to 80). This should do the trick.
I have gone through the virtual server/user/new/etc but when done my fileshare pro only shows the local router ip and not my internet ip. Color me confused. Am I putting in some wrong numbers??? Vonage is useless with info.
