Hey everyone,
Okay I figured this would be the best place to look for some information about how to do what I do and how to get it to work using this nice phone service.
I use the Motorola VT1000v for my connection.
Before I ordered my service I used to have the cable line that came in hooked directly into the cable modem and then the cable modem directly into my computer. I host a web site and a shoutcast server using my own personal computer which is the computer that is hooked to the phone adapter.
Now here is my problem, I hooked up the phone adapter this eveing and got everything running. I am getting an internet connection and the phone line works perfectly. Here is something strange I noticed my web server and shoutcast server no longer shows up online. My guess is this phone adapter works like a router.
I need to get my web server and shoutcast server back online using this phone adapter. Again the model for this Motorola adapter is VT1000v.
I need to get it back to where my web server and shoutcast server is accessable back to the internet using the phone adapter. How would I go about doing this?
Thank you for any help you may provide. |

Tried enabling port forwarding from the Motorola device for port 80 (http) to your PC? Not sure what the port is for shoutcast though... from their web it looks like a default of 8000 but it's the PortBase property. http://www.shoutcast.com/download/serve.phtml#scconfig
Good luck! |

Im in the advanced settings looking around and the IP address at the end is blank what should I put in there for the port forwarding? I first used 20 which isnt working but I noticed that when I changed the shoutcast server from 20 to 100 it started showing up that it was connected.
I just re-starting my adapter with everything on 100. So if someone could check go to http://www.planetradio.us and http://audio.planetradio.us:9090 and let me know if you can see anything now.
Im new to this and trying to get it working.[/img] |

one of your problems is that planetradio.us points to 192.168.102.100 (your local IP). |
