Yes. I've not had this issue elsewhere. |

I will install Chrome tomorrow and run some tests against a few different Vonage devices and non Vonage branded routers to see what I come up with. |

Well it seems Chrome is very buggy with the way HTTP headers are presented. There are many complaints and the issues vary but are all related.
I have tested and this is occurring with just about every router I have tested, both Vonage and non Vonage alike. While I some would not even bring up the login page, other would prompt for username and password but would fail at that point.
Research shows Google developers have been fixing this over the past few months but looks like they are patching it based upon the device and web page itself.
See this thread below.

Chrome works great with both of my D-Link routers as well as with my Motorola Wifi Access point.
I'll watch for Chrome updates and try again. |

How do I log into the Vonage VDV21-VD phone adapter with LCD screen? Apparently the default IP is 192.168.15.1, but the Vonage VDV21-VD phone adapter is behind my firewall and is getting a DHCP address from the firewall/router. My internal network is 192.198.168.xxx. So, I can't get into the Vonage device. Any suggestions? I tried http into all the DHCP addresses on my network, but they all time out...
Thank you in advance. |

What IP address did your router assign to your V-Portal? |

Nevermind. I plugged my computer directly into the LAN port, then used the 192.168.15.1 address (and DHCP on my laptop) to log in to the Vonage device. Then I turned on the option to allow remote management and found out that it required port 8080 from WAN port side. Set reserved IP address in my SOHO firewall/router, and then voila, I can log into the Vonage device if I append 8080 to the URL 192.168.1.xxx:8080. I tried to assign static IP within the Vonage device, byt it didn't like it. So I left the Vonage device set to get a DHCP address from the network, and set my SOHO firewall to have a reserved IP address for it.... and now it's all good.
I could have left the SOHO router set to give the Vonage device a DHCP address, but I didn't want to have to hunt around for the IP whenever I wanted to log in.
Perhaps this will help someone else in the same situation. |

Glad you figured it out. Remote Config Management has to be enabled if you want to logon to the device when the V-Portal is behind your primary router. You should also disable the DHCP Server setting on the V-Portal when your V-Portal is not your primary router. You can locate this setting on the Basic Setup tab / Local Network Setup. |
