Just got off the phone with Vonage 2nd level support in NJ.
Known issue and it should be resolved by Feb 1st 2009.
You can verify it has been resolved by calling after Feb 1st and referencing production status #54864. |

anyone find this to be fixed.
What was the change that Vonage decided to make that caused this in the first place. I imagine it has something to do with their T38 support. |

It is not fixed yet. Root cause was a proxy code upgrade. Still waiting on a new proxy code build to be released into production to resolve this. |

I was having the same issue and have been following this thread. No recent updates posted. However, after doing some testing on this end, it appears the issue may be resolved. Forwarding one of my Vonage numbers to a fax service does appear to transmit with little to no issue. (At least for me). |

That's because it was corrected mid February with a proxy code update. |

The bug that caused the issue was fixed 2 weeks ago. If your still experiencing the issue, it is most likely the number your forwarding to is being routed through one of Vonage's partner carriers that uses compression on their network which will cause both Fax and DTMF relay to fail. Do you have a fax machine you can test with so that you can fax directly to the number your forwarding to? If this fails, then it is a carrier issue and a special route will need to be created from your number to the number your forwarding to.
If you PM me your phone number, I can take a look and reroute for you. |
