I installed Vonage 2 months ago with a 2-line phone setup, Vonage VDV21-VD. I have Time Warner cable, a Linksys WRT54g wireless router, a Motorola modem. the routing is modem to Vonage box to router to computer.
My phone is an ATT e2562 2-ine 2.4 G digital phone. There are two other phones connected via house wiring.
It worked fine until Saturday. Then no one could call in. The phone here rang for an instant. The caller would hear a dialtone, but couldn't dial.
I unplugged everything and got it working for a while.
I bought a new Vonage box with the same result. I've talked to Vonage tech support 3 times, with no help. One said it was house wiring. Another said it was the 2.4 Gig phone getting interference from the wireless router. He also said that Vonage does not support two line phones (?!).
The only solution so far has been to plug an analog phone into the Vonage box. But I have only one single line analog phone.

My settings are:

I'd appreciate any help or suggestions.

The Vonage tech was correct. 2.4 GHz cordless phones and wireless routers can cause sporadic problems. If it works when you disconnect the cordless phone, then that's probably your answer. One solution would be replacing that unit with a 5.8 GHz cordless. Another, if you don't need the wireless networking, would be to disable the wireless function in your WRT54G.

It sounds like there is a short in your phone or wiring somewhere. Try to connect the cordless phone directly to the Vonage device with a single-pair phone cord (if you look at the connector at there end there should be 2 pins in it, not 4). If the problem continues, the phone is probably defective. In either case you should replace the 2.4ghz phone with a 5.8ghz or 6.0ghz one due to the interference with the wireless network.

Thanks for the prompt response. The problem disappeared when I connected the analog phone to the Vonage box line 2. Puzzling this out sometime later, I checked the cord for line 1 (going into jack #1 on the 2 line phone). Somofagun it was an RJ 14 (four-connector) cable!

Somehow the phone was crossing the signal for lines 1 & 2 because of the 4-line cord.

Swapping it for an RJ11 on both lines 1 & 2 fixed the problem.

I wish that they would wire just two conductors on each of the jacks in the Vonage boxes. That would eliminate problems caused by plugging 4 conductor cords into the jacks.
