For the last couple months, I have not been receiving the actual Time/Date stamp for caller ids on my phones(The name and phone number is accurate). The T/D stamp is accurate when I check my account online. But every call on my phone is registered as 12:00 01/01. I've tried different phones and still no joy. I'm using the Cisco ATA 186 phone adapter. Has something changed with the way the info is being transmitted? Any help is appreciated.

If your ATA cannot communicate with the Vonage NTP server, the time stamps will not update. On your PC go to start, run, type cmd and then click OK. In the black PC-DOS window, type:

nslookup time.vonage.net

Let me know what data is returned. You should get 3 IP's that time.vonage.net resolves to.

Ok, gave that a try and I got two IPs for a response:

Addresses: 207.69.131.9, 207.69.131.10

That does not look right. Should look like the Non-authoritative answer I posted below. What do you get when you do the same thing for www.google.com?

Let me also ask you a question. Do you have static Open DNS servers assigned to your PC and or router? If so, when you set your DNS back to Obtain automatically, can you still browse the internet? Only reason I ask is because looks as if your ISP is Comcast as they are addding a DNS suffix to the hostname but your DNS servers are from Earthlink.

okay, tried it again and here's what I got(Susequent tries I get the same two IPs as I told you before with the appendage to the server name):

timeout was 2 seconds.

As for your question about Static DNS servers: No I do not have any Static DNS servers assigned. Everything is Dynamic. Funny you should mention the Comcast/Earthlink discrepancy. My ISP is Earthlink, however Comcast is the one that actually provides the service to me.

When I try the nslookup on google, I'm getting the same two IPs as I told you before for Vonage, most of the time. Occasionally, it will return:
