Accessing My Public Folders from other wireless devices?
I can not access my shared folders anymore through other wireless devices. I used to be able to see my public folders through my PS3, Mac book, etc.... Now I can not, any advice?

Can you give your before and after network topology (i.e. what is hooked up to what).
Sounds like you have a stacked network with different subnets. |

Ed,
I have a Verizon DSL modem and wireless router (integrated) connected to the Vonage Router configured per Vonage's instruction. My notebooks and PS3 connect to the web with no issues, but I can not view my public folders on my desk top which is connected (wired) to the Vongage router from the wireless devices (PS3, Mac, etc)?
Prior to that, the modem/router was wired to the PC.
Many Thanks,

The way to get visability between the two routers is to assign your vonage router a static address (WAN side) in the range that your Verison router is operating on. I would suggest somthing above xxx.xxx.xxx.150, as that would never be used by the DHCP on the Verizon router (unless you have over 150 computers on the network)
Then you you would also set your Host and DNS adress of the Vonage routers LAN side to the base address of the Verizon router.
So if your Version router address is 192.168.100.1 and issues IP's (LAN side) in the range of 192.168.100.2 to 192.168.100.255, assign the Vonage WAN side as 192.168.100.151, with a DNS and HOST of 192.168.100.1
Leave the LAN side of the Vonage device alone (i.e. DHCP).
What happens is when the Vonage router assigns an IP of 192.168.15.2 via DHCP to your PC, your PC ALSO picks up the DNS and HOST IP of 192.168.100.1 NOT 192.168.15.1, which allows you to browse across subnets. At least this has worked for me in the past when I had a stacked network. |

One other note, the static IP on your vonage device is to allow you to enter the DNS and HOST IP and also allows you to always get to the Vonage device web page at a known IP, in my example 192.168.100.151. |
