Post subject: V-Phone came with Corrupted Files
I bought a V-Phone from Buy.com to add to my existing
Vonage
Acct.
On first plug-in it says files are corrupted; contact
Vonage
Customer service.
Tried rebooting etc.
Have called & emailed V. Tech Support (Canned reply indicates that perhaps my email was not read properly?) - have asked for escalation.
I want to get it to work in the next couple of days.
Is there any way of fixing the files without unit replacement?
TIA,
Roger

Thanks for the follow-up, sorry about my delay before replying.
After trying partial & complete overwrites,
Vonage
was not able to resolve the technical problem with the V-Phone unit I received.
At their suggestion, I returned it to the vendor and got a full refund.
Pity - as a long time
Vonage
subscriber, I had wanted to use the V-Phone while visiting Australia. [I used Skype instead.]

Sorry it didn't work out for you. Since you are a customer, you can upgrade to the Pro plan which has what is called the Companion and is a softphone tied to your existing number. This way, as long as you have your laptop with you, you are all set.
