The company CHARGES you to bring your phone number over from a competitor?

Geez, that's just SICK and WRONG!

Then again, I'd pay $40 if I could actually get Vonage (or ANYBODY) to be able to port a local number for me over. I had to lose my local number because apparently BellSouth (now AT&T) can deny this as long as they do it for a whole service area. There was nothing Vonage could do to help me with that, either, bless their hearts they tried. Sad

I have been with vongae for over one year and i am still charged a 39.99 disconnect fee. What a rip off That is more then i paid for the service alone. Also i always had a problem downloading large files. My phone would mess up to the extent people couldnt hear me but i could hear them.

THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE DISCONNECTION FEE AFTER ATLEAST A YEAR.

Try over 30 YEARS! As I posted earlier, I have been with My POTS provider over 30 years . . . and I had LD disconnected and I was charged a disconnect fee of $5.95!

Most do this. I think we have beaten this dead horse enough.

How can you have paid less than than $40 for over one year of service? And did you contact technical support regarding issues of the phone quality? It sounds like you needed to adjust your QoS. Technical support can assist with that.
