I Am New and Have a Question

I just signed up and ordered the V Phone for use with a laptop..Also would like to use the same number assigned with a portal. Can I do this with minimal difficulty? I want to be able to use the service on a day to day basis as a home phone, but also would like to use the same number on a laptop while traveling.

You can do what you want using the Move A Line feature in your web account under the Addons tab. You can switch your phone number between devices. Please note that when you move a line from a device, the device must be able to connect to the tftp server and download the profile to have it removed. This is of course unless you unplug it when not in use. The device getting the number must also hit the tftp server to get the new profile with the phone number of your choice.

If for any reason, the original device is Registering with the phone number but does not hit tftp to remove the line and you move the line to the other device, you can have calling issues. If the line exists in 2 places, they fight for registration and inbound calls may route to the device that you do not have with you locally as they went to the other one.
