I was told by the sales rep that I can use my Vonage account (business) with my grandstream gxp 2000, and today when I called support to find out where is my product that I ordered, I asked how to setup a grandstream. He was clueless, and told me that support could not help.
If someone knows how to setup a grandstream gxp 2000 with Vonage, I really would appreciate very much. If not.... than I will cancel my account.
Thanks! |

To use your Grandstream ATA or any ATA, Voip phone, softphone, wifi phone etc with Vonage, you need to log into your Vonage account and ADD a SOFTPHONE account to your existing Vonage account. They charge $10 additional per month for this.
The settings once you sign up for the softphone account are:
SIP Account Name: Vonage Phone Number: xxxxxxxxxx (enter your Vonage phone number) Authentication ID: xxxxxxxxxx (enter your Vonage phone number) Authentication Password: xxxxxxxx (enter your Vonage Authentication Password, this can be Provided to you by Vonage. Please remember that the password is case sensitive.) SIP Domain: leave blank Proxy Address: sphone.vopr.vonage.net Port: 5061 Outbound Proxy: sphone.vopr.vonage.net Port: 5061 Local Port: 5061 Register Timer: 3600 Codec: Auto Pkt. Time: Default Out of Band DTMF: On
You will be allowed only 500 minutes per month on this account which is separate from your regular Vonage account. You will also be given an additional phone number for the softphone account which you can set to SIMULRING with your regular Vonage account.
