Not a regular poster but thought I needed to post this.
I have had Vonage since the early days and the original device was a Linksys silver pill box. It worked very well up until about a year ago. Then when I would call a friend who also had Vonage, and a Linksys, they would complain about a loud buzzing noise in the phone. When I called other people with land line or cell phones there was no buzzing. I could here the buzzing on my end and it seemed like it was getting louder.
Last week I call Vonage and the rep went through the standard stuff, about 30 minutes, and said they would send a replacement for the Linksys unit. Next day I received an email and two days the unit, a Dlink. Plugged it in waited about 5 minutes, picked up the phone got dial tone, pressed a number key, dead silence no buzzing. Called my friend, no buzzing. Kept asking if they were there it was so quiet.
Returned the old unit. No charge except postage.
Received a follow up call about quality of service.
I am very pleased with the service and support. I would like to add that the reps were Indian(east) and were pleasant and efficient. |

Thank you for posting some positive news. It sure visits us infrequently on this site.
I have also had positive experience with the first level CSRs lately as well. Good for Vonage. now that they are not going full throttle grabbing new customers, it seems like they can actually focus on training their CSR reps better.
to be honest, my experience with their NJ executive response team was less than stellar. I actually had to call the first level CSRs to fix the mistakes of the executive response team. isn't that funny? |
