When I make or receive a call it takes anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds for the person on the other end to hear me. Just dead air for them, but i can here them just fine. I’m wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and if so what steps i could take to remedy this problem.
Current setup is cable modem--> Linksys wireless router--> PAP2, desktop via (cat5), notebook (wireless). I have connected the PAP2 directly to the cable modem, changed cables, changed locations of equipment, used several different phones and still have the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. |

If you haven't already done so, check out http://testyourvoip.com and check out your results... looking for latency, delay or packet loss. Post results here are I'm sure you'll get some more feedback. |

if you haven't already, you might want to adjust the QoS settings on the router to give PAP2 priority |

Just wanted to thank everyone for the help, looks like replacing my old modem (shark fin) with a new motorola SB5100 was the trick. |
