Noticed my phone wasn't working this morning couldn't get it to work at all. The only thing that worked was the base pager. But no ready light, etc.
Finally noticed that the power adapter had exposed copper wires in 2 places toward the end of the plug. I didn't think it was power since the pager worked but I tried a universal power adapter and it came up fine.
The IP8100 power adapter plugs into the bottom of the base unit and has 2 brackets that hold the cable in place so the base can sit flat. The 2 cuts in the adapter match exactly where the 2 brackets are located.
In the picture the cable is upside down and my finder is on the adapter end which lines up with where it's plugged in.
I've only had this since August so it happened fast. This sits in my office and doesn't get moved much. I called Vonage and they're sending a new adapter.
