doesn't really matter what that looks like unless you're getting dialup speeds. have you posted your detailed results from testyourvoip.com?

Post subject: Host computer will affect results
FYI, I ran the test with 2 different computers on the same Comcast connection:
Computer 1) PII 233MHz-192M RAM - My almost 10 year old computer I use for email
Download 1,012,744 bps
Upload 332,936 bps
QOS 71%
RTT 60 ms
MaxPause 500 ms
Computer 2) P4 600MHz-1G RAM - Dell laptop
Download 4,227,776 bps
Upload 370,088 bps
QOS 98%
RTT 60 ms
MaxPause 40 ms
The download speeds are very different but the uploads are about the same (which in turn will limit the max number of high quality
Voip
calls to 4 in both cases).
Just thought y'all should know...

should know what? it's based on upload speed so similar upload speeds will yield similar estimated max connections.

Should know that while the uploads are indeed the same, the QOS and MaxPause are very different.
That's all, nothing else.

I don't know if this is only happening to me, but I am getting very different results from this
Voip
speed test compared to other places. The
Voip
Speed Test here has me at about a 1.5 MB download speed and then another test right after will show three. My QoS will range from 17-98 within minutes of each other. However, when I do broadband speed tests and tests at testmyvoip I get high download speeds and testmyvoip says "like calling next door" to Boston, San Jose and even Australia and I live in Maryland. Anyone else seeing this?

Says I mine will support 4 lines, but I can't seem to get it to support 2, having trouble for over a month now. Have an e-mail I sent to tech support on Feb. 25th with no response still. Can't waste 1.5 to 2 hours each night on hold for tech support either. Did the ping plotter tests and download tests and they look great, this is really pissing me off....

Post subject: high RTT results?
Hello, I have recently switched flavors of ADSL with the same provider. Now have 2Mb instead of 1Mb in.
The Speedtest gave me the following results. I rermber my previous results with the old connection had a much lower RTT on the order of 50ms. How is the RTT calculated?
Thanks in advance.
Tom
