upload: 61.8kbps

Most of the time there is a dial tone but when I dial different numbers I get a busy signal. At this time I checked the speed and it is
download: 6.5 Mbps
upload : 51.4 kbps
QoS : 90%
RTT : 27 ms
MaxPause: 117 ms

and another test
download: 3.4Mbps
upload : 130 kbps
QoS : 60%
RTT : 22 ms
MaxPause: 120 ms

When the phone works the speed test is

download: 6.83 Mbps
upload: 300 kbps
QoS: 99%
RTT : 25 ms
MaxPaus: 106 ms

This problem started occurring recently and it happens like twice a week. I have been using Vonage for almost two years with no problem until recently. I greatly appreciate any suggestions on this matter.

Thank you

The problem is almost certainly linked to the degradation in the upload performance. 51k versus 300k is a factor of 6. This data shows bandwidth metrics only do you have the testid number so I can review the UDP test results and/or the TCP audit log. A max pause consistently over 100ms is not an issue unless it is 'regular', I need to examine just how many TCP gaps there are and whether there is a pattern to the gaps.

I tried this test several times and every time it shut down my browzer. Something is fishy here.

Anyone who is diagnosing problems with their Voip or trying to figure out if their broadband will support Voip, this should be your first stop.

Is there any instructions on how to run the Speed Test? When I go to that page, everything is "greyed out" and nothing happens! Sad
If anyone can point me in the right direction to get the instructions I would be most appreciative! Stupid Me

Thanks for your time and trouble in helping a newcomer out!

It has shut down both browsers on this PC, IE6 and FireFox 1.5.0.4. I will try it IE7 Beta 3 when I fire up my laptop to see what happens there. Right after the initial results come in I get an error message and that the browser must close.

I do have Java enabled on my browser (IE6.0) and both browser & Java are up-to-date. For some reason, when I go to the test page, there is nothing available to start the test. The onlything is test results explained and that just brings me to the forum!!!
