I have some latency when answering a call (3-5 seconds before they can hear me), when trying to speak in a conference call (it's like I'm pausing for a half-second before I speak), and when I make 3-way calls (sometimes the original call gets dropped).
Anyone else have this issue or have you been able to improve your RTT and MaxPause?

I'm on a cable modem and QOS varies through the day but is always in the high 90's. I was surprised to get a red light on jitter and packet loss. I think this is down to me having an early cable modem that hasn't got the QOS rating of later versions. Still very acceptable given the cost savings with Vonage.
QoS is measure of the consistency of the data movement. The higher the percentage value the more consistent. A low value indicates a situation something like 5mbps-3mbps-4mbps-3mbps-5mbit instead of 4mbps-4mbps-4mbps-4mbps-4mbps. Both offer 4mbps but the latter is more consistent and better for real-time applications such as Voip or multimedia.
