Post subject: Vonage Bandwidth
But it still seems like either
Vonage
doesnt own enough bandwidth (54% QOS, when every other site gives me 90+????) or Optimum is deliberatly slowing down *.
vonage
.com traffic?? I can sign up for 1 million Mbs, but if
vonage
isnt even giving me a fraction of what I already have, then either they dont have the BW, or its being blocked/slowed before it gets there.
I Dont want OO's Optimum Voice. They wont give me an out of area number or port me from
Vonage
. But there is no need for me to get a fraction of my QOS and BW from this sites speed test compared to
vonage
(30mb/95% here to 7Mb/54% there) unless something is wrong with either
Vonage
or OOnline.

Post subject: WISP and QOS
I'm running my
VoIP
through a wireless interent provider. Downloads around 1.5MB/s to 2.25, uploads approx. 300-500kbps. I've heard of some special settings regarding packet size that
Vonage
needs to adjust at their end to make it work better. Supposedly this is unique to WISP's. My voice quality is ok, but there are dropouts sometimes. I've tried to call
Vonage
, but never get through--on hold over an hour. Any help is appreciated!

I'd recommend starting a new thread with your question, and reading the sticky at the top of the thread list entitled "What to post when you are having technical trouble with
Vonage
". Page 24 of a thread about testing your connection won't be a place where many people will notice a new question.

Says I can support 23 high quality calls. I have Optimum, should be getting better numbers I believe but I run my cable through a splitter to the modem so that might have something to do with it.

Always fun to run the test again and get some pretty different results:
Download 5,769,408 bps
Upload 1,669,384 bps
QOS 97%
RTT 1 ms
MaxPause 60 ms
And yet I can support only 22 high quality calls.
