Hello all!
I have a Vonage VT2542(motorola) and i can't make call from Brazil to Brazil.
I tried dial "00" and "011" before telephon number.
Example: 011 55(contry code) 11(city code) 2119-xxxx(telephone number).
Anyone time the call was completed.
When a try to call from Brazil to UK, USA or another country I don't have problems.
Please, somebody help me?
Regards! |

have you enabled international calling on your web account? I believe calls to UK and US are free if you have the unlimited plan. So Vonage does not treat it like an international call. But calls to Brazil will be an international call.
By the way, your dialing is correct. don't use 00, use 011. |

There has many many carrier issues with Brazil over the last 2 weeks or so. Vonage has been working with the PSTN partner carriers and they have found some destinations in Brazil were unable to be completed over any of their eligible providers. Calls to these destinations were then tested from dialaround codes using MCI, AT&T, and Sprint which also fail. This indicates a problem with an in country carrier (receiving end Brazil carrier).
Have you tried to place a call to Brazil to the number your dialing from any other service? If your dialing from a US phone number, you would dial 01155. You would only dial 0055 if your dialing from a UK line. |
