Vonage forgot to send me an email message. It was on their site and it was retrievable by telephone, but its missing could have been a problem.

I contacted them, and, natch, they blamed it on me. They sent several irrelevant responses, requiring much time investment on my part. I emphasized that I just wanted them to check their bug, because if it happened to me, it happened to someone else.

I even added another email address for the forwarding of email wav files.

Again, another non-crucial call was not sent to me, and again, in the spirit of helping Vonage, I reported it because one error is a fluke, the same error repeated is a trend.

Again, more puffery from Vonage CS. I asked to be sent to a supervisor -- no go. I demanded my mail go to a supervisor (irrelevant responses from CSRs inspire no confidence and no trust) and was told the supervisor would, instead of responding to my email, CALL me!!! And I was told that I had to go to the website to communicate with Vonage.

Today, I have had SEVERAL calls from Vonage -- "testing" MY email. Very annoying.

I just wanted to quack and complain because I'm irritated that my trying to help Vonage means that I must rescue them repeatedly and invest time and more time to get them to improve their product.

I'm so annoyed, I'm thinking of switching (after 4 years) to Bright House.

Grrrrrr.

Anyway, if YOU have a problem receiving email messages (and, if you are offsite and depending on your email, how would you know?) be sure to go online to pick them up instead, and contact the CSRs.

The only problem I had is that Microsoft Outlook keeps thinking that those emails are junk mail. If I don't check my junk mail, I miss my voice mail messages. It is not a Vonage problem, but my email server that doesn't like the email.
Maybe your email server is rejecting those emails, that is the reason you are not getting them.
Is it not possible, that it is not a Vonage problem?

Nope. Vonage problem.

Like you, I considered it might have been accidentally blocked by my Road Runner, even though other messages came through. And I thought it could be a fluke.

Because of that, I added another email address--a gmail address that keeps all copies forwarded, received, etc.

I considered it solved, and wasn't worried.

Then, it occurred again with no email received at either address. That's the start of a pattern and shows me that the Vonage email system is unreliable.

That means I need to worry, and I need to keep checking my telephone log online, instead of depending on Vonage to forward it.

No damage was done, because neither call was important. But, it demonstrates a Vonage flaw.
