So i got my Vonage box today, plug and got it up fine. The only problem i get is that when i punch *123, it go silent and then i hear beep beep beep (like a disconnect line). Well i use the box, use quick dial, and enter voice mail, punch 1234, set up, but the problem is that it only allow set up on the second mailbox. Anyone know how i can close the second voice mailbox and open up the first mailbox?

(everytime i go to voice mailbox through adapter, i have to punch * to go to second mailbox and then enter pin to hear message).

Anyone know how to solve these problem?? Many thanks.

I am puzzled as to what you mean by a 2nd mailbox? Did you order 2 lines? Dialing *123 sends you to the mailbox for that particular line (at least that's what I am imagining). If you have 2 lines, you need to dial *123 from the phone line you want to hear vmail from.

Another option is to have vmail sent to your email address via .wav file. it is also another easy way or another option is to listen to it through you online acct.

I am still unclear as to what your problem really is. Perhaps a re-explanation might be helpful so that we can help you.

so usually when you enter voice mailbox you press: *123, then enter password and you hear the message.

I cant go to voice mailbox directly by pressing *123, when i try that method all i hear is a long silence, then beep, beep, beep.

When i go to check my voicemail i have to:
use Vonage adapter and select quick dial, then voicemail.
When i get to voice mail, i have to press star key to change to second mailbox, only then will my password get accept and i get to listen to my voicemail.

I only order one line.

When i first set up voice mail, i follow instruction but when i reach the first mailbox and try to get in using 1234, it keep saying wrong password. So I press star which switch me to the second mailbox, only then does 1234 get me in and the set up process for mailbox begin.

Is 1234 the password that you were sent?
Is your Voicemail enabled on your online account?
Have you reset your PIN on your voicemail account?
If none of these work, you need to contact Vonage CS.

Anytime you are experiencing vm issues try logging into your online acct and disabling/re-enabling vm under features>voicemail settings>configure on that particular line/phone number. After doing this you can either reset your vm pin number or try and use the standard default pin of 1234. Great help with voicemail at http://www.vonage.com/support.php?article=1363&topic=5
