Yes that would be real smart. Just get a lawyer and attempt another lawsuit against Vonage so that you are just another vehicle trying to put Vonage out of business. So you too can help the Monopolies put smaller competitors without deep pockets out of business.
Then at this point you can go back to Ma Bell and they can charge you whatever they want to and you will be forced to pay it or be without. And if you think, "I will just maintain a cell phone", think again because when the day comes that land lines become obsolete and cell phones are the only thing in the market, their rates wont be as competitive as they are and once again you can pay out your a$$. |

When I first got this router I had numerous problems with it, forgetting passwords, not allowing me to set WEP/WPA codes, etc, resetting back to normal and all sorts.
Then after the 5th time of setting the same information up I discovered a solution that makes the router work perfectly.
This solution does not solve the problem of it "forgetting" on power cut (I think this lies with the absence of a battery backed up memory, possibly due to DLink cutting costs (many other cheap electronics manufacturers do the same thing, for example if you have a TV that needs retuning every time you unplug it)).
But the solution to it forgetting the WPA key etc every time here is the solution..
Firstly change the security option to what security setting you want it e.g. WPA and wait for the screen to refresh.
Enter your security code you want to use in the bottom.
Now change the name of your router to whatever you want.
Now click save.
At this point the router will ask you if you want to reset the router to apply changes. Click No (clicking yes here will make the router reset and forget everything).
Go into the system menu and click "Restart Access Point", your router will disappear for 5 minutes and re-appear all set up perfectly.
You must carry out the stages in that order, if you do them in any other order it doesn't work and the router gets confused.
There are a few bugs with this router which could be fixed if DLink ever got off their backside and fixed them, but they are highly unlikely to be fixed ever as DLink make cheap mass-produced rubbish, and if I didn't need them for Vonage I certainly wouldn't buy their products. |
