Incorrect Outbound Caller ID Name

Intrado has absolutely nothing to do with caller ID display for Vonage.

Intrado is one of the companies that handles Vonage 911 routing and services for Vonage. While they may offer a listing service for other companies, Vonage does not provide listings, use Intrado's database for CNAM DIP's, or have anything to do with Intrado for anything other then 911.

Wondered, since Intrado has the database for 9-1-1 ANI/ALI, guess it would figure their database would supply the Caller ID for the various interconnects.

Intrado's data as with any 911 service provider uses their information only for emergency services calls. This is why there are so many 911 issues because if the data is not updated, they have the incorrect data to supply to emergency services. This information can and will differ from the mainstream CNAM databases used for referencing ANI on normal calls. So a 911 database may have your name, address and phone number being 1 thing while CNAM providers and cached databases all could have a completly different name for this same number.

Intrado provides database support to recipients of 911 calls. Your local public safety answering position (usually, the local police) probably use Intrado to translate the calling number (not name) to a name, and an address, so that emergency services can be provided.
