Starting Sept 5, my Voip of 2 years stopped allowing incoming calls.
I first contacted Vonage on Sept 8 to complain. Supposedly, the problem would be fixed in 12-24 hours.

However, it is now Sept 17 and every time I call I get a different story and no one will let me talk to a supervisor. The latest story is that someone (another phone company) might be trying to take my number and that is why I can call out but no one can call in (except other Vonnage customers.)

I live alone and have not asked another company for services. I contacted my previous Voip (2 years ago) and they assured me they hadn't tried to 'retake' my number.

I was severely injured in July and bedridden and homebound for a long time. Most of my friends have my home number but not a cell phone number. When some of them couldn't reach me the past two weeks, they paniced and called the police who came to check up on me. I asked one of the many techs I've spoken with if at least I could have a forwarding number on the message that people get when they call "this is not a working number"

I've changed nothing, have Comcast cable, live in the mountains in Colorado 80498, have a comcast wireless router and modum.

Can anyone help or at least tell me how to speak with someone who will resolve the problem instead of simply repeating the same thing over and over (what is your pin, can I call you by your first name, etc)

If you provide me with a ticket number, username, or device MAC address, I will look into this as soon as I get into the office tomorrow. I don't ask for phone numbers since anyone can pose as an employee and request a phone number. I only ask for something proprietary so that you know only a true employee would be able to access.

I am the technical manager for level 3, 4 ,and 5 support.

It does sound like your number has been slammed and may take time for us to get the carrier to reinstate it. This is not a switch that Vonage just flips and it's back in service. We have to connect to the outside world using LEC's and unfortunately are at their mercy when these things occur.

As soon as I can get your info, I will do what I can to make sure your line is back up as soon as possible.
