I have ATT DSL (Dry Loop/Naked DSL) and Vonage, I have the VDV21-VD, a DIR-615 and a ZyXEL P-600 DSL Modem, The Vonage box is hooked up to the router which is hooked up to the DSL modem ...
modem ---> router ---> Vonage
for no reason and with no explanation, sometimes when I answer the phone, about 3 seconds into the call, it starts to fade away (sounds like a digital cell phone getting too far from the tower) and the DSL modem looses the connection, it doesnt happen all the time, and I can repeat it continuously, but if I just browse the internet and stream videos and stuff, it works fine. I hope im not being paranoid, but It would seem ATT is doing something to the Vonage service, causing it to randomly malfunction. Does anyone have any ideas, I have hooked the Vonage box directly to the modem, and several other things, Im about ready to call ATT and tell them a thing or two. this is very frustrating, I dont think its the Vonage box, because how could that cause the modem to reset? FYI the router doesnt reset.
Any Suggestions? |
