Post subject: V-Portal not picking up IP address on Gateway 2700hg-e
I've only had
Vonage
2 months and the service keeps dropping the line about twice/week. Of course it will cost me fees to disconnect, so I'm trying to get the problem fixed. I was told by Advanced Operations Tech Support that since I have a dynamic IP address it changes every time we log in to the Internet. I called AT&T and they showed me how to see my IP address. It does not change when I log in and when I check my V-portal, the IP Address does not match the AT&T IP Address.
Should the V-portal update the IP address to prevent our service from going in and out? Thanks
